International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 every year, to raise awareness about gender equality and to recognise the accomplishments of women. Every year Indian government chooses a unique way to celebrate Women’s day. Reportedly, this year on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Tuesday, Government has decided to evacuate only women for the next 24 hours. However, the government is giving relaxation to the men who identify themselves as She/Her.
In a release, the government said that the men who are stranded in Ukraine need to be patient for next 24 hours while we evacuate women. All the flights carrying evacuated women will be driven by women pilots and women ministers will be there to welcome these evacuated women.
The government has also decided that no men with their bio updated with She/Her after this circular will be considered eligible for the evacuation process.
