Teacher throws her savings from college’s roof to explain students about falling Rupee

Amidst the economic slowdown, there’s a perception battle going on between The left and right political spectrum. While pro-government enthusiasts are denying any slowdown, the anti-establishment forces are trying hard to prove that there’s indeed an economic slowdown. In such an attempt, opposition leader cited automobile industry data which shows slowdown in sales in the last fiscal year. However, the leading auto industry major, Bajaj has said that a mere 7% decrease in the sale doesn’t mean economic slowdown considering people now prefer Ola and Uber to buying a car.

In another such attempt, the professor of economics in JNU claimed that rupee is falling drastically and can lead to a major economic crisis. And when students argued that it’s a worldwide phenomenon and it’s not going to last for long, the teacher got furious and got all her savings (cash and gold) to the classroom and asked the students to accompany her to the terrace of the building. Later, she dropped all the cash from the rooftop in order to explain the falling rupee concept.
Reportedly, she dropped around 50 lakhs in cash and gold of around 350 gms. Backbenchers who didn’t accompany her and went for ‘chai-sutta’ instead of college, collected all the money and gold and are currently absconding. Details awaited.
