South Delhi Girl Boycotts Voting, Calls Electoral Ink As ‘Down Market’ and ‘Tacky’

Pritika, a south Delhi resident and a first-time voter has announced through a Facebook post that she’s boycotting the upcoming elections. Assuming that she might be finding it difficult to choose whom to vote for, many of her friends informed her about the great work done by the current government and the scams which happened during UPA govt.

However, no matter what, nobody could convince her to vote. Later, through a comment on her own post, she clarified that she’s boycotting elections not because she doesn’t know whom to vote for but because the indelible electoral ink may harm her nails and skins.

“Oh God, the ink that they apply at the voting booth is so tacky. The Election Commission should hire a proper nail artist for its application,” said Pritika.

Extremely careful about her skin and nails, Pritika had also stopped playing Holi since 2014. Also, she steps out in cars which only have tinted glasses so as to avoid the slightest sunburn.

“Pritika is very particular about her skin. I remember she once bunked an exam because of the scorching heat outside. The only car that was available in her house did not have tinted glass. Pritika is now my junior,” said one of her classmates.
