Soon after Pulwama attack by Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammad, a debate started in India whether India should boycott Pakistan on the cricket field as well. While many believed that India should sever all ties with Pakistan: be it financial, Bollywood or the sports field, Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar said that India shouldn’t boycott Pakistan in the world cup as it will give them an easy walkover.
India and Pakistan have come fave to face six times in world cup finals and in all of these six times India has ripped apart Pakistan badly. Therefore it’s not going to be easy for Pakistan in this world cup too. Intelligence reports suggests that Pakistan is planning another terrorist attack in India ahead of World Cup to make India look bad for boycotting Pakistan, thus ending up giving an easy walk over to Pakistan.
