Man Earning Rs.9,000 Quits Job To Avail Unemployment Allowance of Rs.10,000 as Promised by Congress In Its Manifesto

In the recently held Assembly Elections in five states, Congress has performed better than ever and is on its way to form a government in three out of five states. Soon after the results were out, it was reported that people in lakhs were seen writing their resignation letters and quitting their jobs.

Congress in its manifesto had promised that the unemployed population shall be given a Rs. 10,000/month Unemployment Allowance for the next three years. As a result, people earning less than the promised amount went ahead and gave up their jobs. Cab drivers who usually earn 8k-9k per month and manage their family will not only have enough time to spend with their family but also secure a 10-15% hike in their salary without doing anything literally.

“See currently I earn Rs.9,000/month and the Congress government in its manifesto promised that they’ll provide Rs.10,000/month to unemployed people. Hence, I have resigned from my job now and shall now have ample time to play ludo on my ‘Made in Vidisha’ smartphone and avail a 10% hike in my salary,” said a Congress supporter from Vidisha.
