Big news is coming from San Francisco, where a man is suing Apple after accidentally agreeing to his wife’s divorce demands of the house and the kids custody while trying to take a call using new Air Pods with the headshake feature.
The latest Air Pods allow users to accept or reject calls with head movements and include adaptive audio, which lowers volume when you’re talking to someone. Due to which, the man had become so used to wearing the Air Pods everywhere that he was wearing them even in court.
During his divorce proceeding, when the judge asked if he agreed to his wife’s demands for the house and kid’s custody, his boss called at the same time. Due to force of habit, he nodded to take the call, but the judge thought he was saying ‘Yes’ to him and granted his wife everything. Now, the man is suing Apple for his loss.
Speaking to the Fauxy, the man said, “It’s Apple’s fault; they should’ve tested their products in every situation. Why do we pay them so much”?
Currently, the man is reappealing his divorce case. However, when the judge asked if he wanted to reconsider his previous agreement, his boss called again. But learning from his mistake, the man shook his head to reject the call, but the judge misunderstood it as a “no,” and dismissed his case once more.
