BENGALURU: Police on Wednesday booked a case against the traffic signal where the delivery boy spent 21 minutes causing delay in the delivery. This came as the recent updates in Zomato case where FIRs have already been filed against the beauty influencer and Zomato delivery executive. Reportedly, the root cause of the case was delay in the delivery and the delay was caused due to heavy traffic which happened because of a traffic signal.
“We have summoned the traffic signal and it will interrogated. If the signal fails to appear then arrest warrant will be issued and the signal will be arrested under the section 351 of the IPC” told a police personnel to The Fauxy.
Sources suggest that Zomato has asked the govt to exempt their delivery executives from all the traffic signals and tolls to ensure faster delivery with minimum violence.
