Lalbaugcha Raja To Receive Donations Of Up To ₹700 Crore From UAE

Lalbaugcha Raja is the most famous Sarvajanik Ganapati kept at Lalbaug in Mumbai during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. In a shocking development, The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has decided to donate funds to the tune of ₹700 crore to Lalbaugcha Raja Mandal so that proper arrangements can be carried out for Hindu devotees.

Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Sheikh Mohammad Bin Syed Al Nahyan had communicated his offer to Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who later revealed it to the media.

In a statement expressing gratitude towards the UAE prince, Devendra Fadnavis said: “The assistance of 700 crore from UAE was first informed to Maharashtra’s businessman and philanthropist Mukesh Ambani. We are very happy to announce that Lalbaugcha Raja is gaining international acclaim. Unlike other states, we will soon release proofs and evidence to support our donation claims. Ganpati Bappa Morya!”

The CM’s office later released the letter issued by UAE prince, thus confirming the sanction of the ₹700 Crore aid to Lalbaugcha Raja. In his letter to CM Fadnavis, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Syed expressed his guilt of not being helpful during Kerala floods even after being constantly cajoled by Kerala’s CM on multiple occasions. He also mentioned his astonishment on how certain media people and South Indian intellectuals blamed PM Modi for rejecting the alleged donation of ₹700 crore from UAE, which he had never even offered.
