At a crucial time when the entire nation is recovering from the worst ever flood in a century, Rahul Gandhi is doing his bit and has abandoned the country for a trip to Germany. While addressing a meet in Hamburg, Rahul Gandhi made a direct sly on JNU students, stating that it is their joblessness that is the main cause for them to get radicalized and form terrorist organizations like ISIS.
“If you don’t give people a job, soon somebody else will give them one and that is the real risk..” said Gandhi while justifying the cause and formation of ISIS and mini-ISIS in the making i.e. JNU. Currently, it not clear whether Rahul Gandhi was taking a jibe at JNU or whether it was an invitation to job applications for ISIS.
A statement has been released by ISIS where they were quoted saying “Even we do not know when did we appoint Rahul Gandhi as our spokesperson. India really needs to work on their job situation, since jobless politicians are trying to malign our renowned terrorist organization by comparing it with a group of brow-beaten overage JNU students.”
Right after his controversial statement, Kanhaiya Kumar, an unemployed student from JNU, seemed to have taken offense and reportedly tweeted:
“Rahul Ji, since you are in Germany and since you have spoken about ISIS and JNU, I would request you to please talk about Hitler a little!” – some are viewing this as a mischievous dig at Gandhi’s grandmother, Indira Gandhi.
Umar Khalid, another jobless student from JNU was reported saying: “Those who are raising concerns about the formation of ISIS in JNU, we want to tell them we are not going to go back to studies any soon. By comparing us with ISIS and calling us jobless, you have given us a bigger job and we will fulfill that by breaking the nation. We will set a higher precedent than the father of mob-lynching, Rajiv Gandhi and show it to Rahul Gandhi!”
Rahul Gandhi has opened a can of worms and if sources are to be trusted, the Congress President has already started receiving threats for making a statement against JNU cults.
