On Wednesday, the IIT committee rejected a girl who qualified for the exam after she opted for a window seat in the counseling process. Sneha Jain cleared the exam with the flying colours however had no idea of seat selection process and being a claustrophobic she wrote window seat as her preferred choice. After all the seats of different branches were allotted Sneha Jain was informed that she’s been rejected as the computer couldn’t process her application.
However, Sneha Jain isn’t the only aspirant to get rejected, Karan AIR-2390 also got rejected after he wrote he/they in the gender colourblind of the application. Speaking to The Fauxy, Karan said “I am okay with the rejection but this is how I want to be identified as to bring equality among all genders.”
