Delhi: Man caught smoking in public, claims couldn’t see No Smoking sign board due to smog

Delhi’s air pollution levels on Sunday settled in the ‘very poor’ category as the thick cloud of smoke continued to envelop the national capital region. The overall AQI in Delhi this morning was 339 and Kejriwal government remains clueless after talking much about solving the stubble burning problem before Punjab elections.

The Delhi people too looked careless about the increase air pollution. On Sunday, Delhi police arrested a man for smoking in public place at Connaught Place. However, the man was released as he claimed that the No-Smoking board due to low visibility created by smog.

Delhi Police itself couldn’t locate the No-Smoking board and had to let the man go after just a warning.

Arvind Kejriwal has asked the authorities to install wipers on every No-Smoking board.
