The economy grew at an impressive 8.2 per cent in the first quarter of the Financial Year 2018-19, thus leaving no point of criticism for opposition to attack the government in the economic front. To the surprise of top economists, who believed that demonetisation and GST would impact the GDP growth rate for years to come, the Indian economy has grown at a rate faster than what perhaps the ruling government might have even expected.
Despite having no valid points of criticism, in a recent address to media, Congress, as usual, managed to deceive people by showing them a laterally inversed GDP graph. Nationally renowned for her advanced mathematics skills, Priyanka Chaturvedi addressed a press conference on India’s current economic condition in an attempt for a desperate damage control. She explained the downfall in GDP from her perspective and urged people to stand in front of the mirror while analysing the GDP graph. To our surprise, Priyanka Chaturvedi managed to bring down the house and journalists applauded her for her insightful Nobel prize-winning analysis.
