Big news is coming from New Delhi, where, in line with the Indian government’s “Neighbor hood First” policy, the Ministry of External Affairs has supplied 100,000 units of pagers to ‘New Bangladesh’ as humanitarian aid during their time of crisis.
Due to the recent instability in Bangladesh, their communication infrastructure has been crumbling. To address this, India decided to supply pagers so that the new government of Bangladesh can maintain communication if their cellular network fails. However, following reports of Israel hacking and blowing up thousands of Hezbollah fighters‘ pagers, India’s decision has come under scrutiny, with accusations that the Indian government may be planning a similar attack in Bangladesh.
Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishankar, has denied all such allegations. Speaking to The Fauxy, he said, “Bangladesh is our neighbor and friend, and we are simply helping them as we have always done. We do not attack our friends, only our enemies, and I hope Bangladesh will always remain a friend.”
In a totally unrelated development, currently Israel’s Mossad and India’s RAW are conducting a joint exercise together.
