On Thursday, yet again a student of IIT Kharagpur complained on social media about getting a dead lizard in his food plate. It’s not an isolated incident and from quite some time it has become a regular affair in the IIT mess food. However, this time the case was serious since the lizard was half-dead and if mistakenly eating it would have caused a lot to students.
While it may be a bad experience for the students and for people watching the pic, there’s someone who’s really excited about having such food. The host of popular TV show Man vs Wild, Bear Grylls wanted to have the taste of the food but was denied as food is meant only for the hostellers.
If sources are to be believed, Bear Grylls is appearing for the IIT JEE entrance exam next year and would become a hosteller for the next four years of the course if he cracks the exam. Upon asking which course he would prefer in his Engineering, Bear Grylls laughingly said ‘the main course’.
Bear Grylls hasn’t joined any coaching for IIT entrance preparation but reportedly many coaching institutes have approached him with big discount offers. He has also started watching Kota Factory to learn about life in a coaching institute.
