In an ironical twist, CBI headquarters at Delhi was raided by CBI itself and it managed to spur up a major political debate. The government had to step in for providing clarifications and went ahead to issue warnings and ended up sending CBI Chiefs on leave. The controversy wasn’t even over and another implausible incident took place when the Crime Investigation Department (CID), arrested Daya and ACP Pradyuman of CID fame for a crime.
After entertaining audiences for over 21 years, CID, a TV series, decided to go off the air for no apparent reason, but the real-life crime investigating organisation CID suspected foul and put it’s best officers to work for figuring out the same.
CID’s preliminary report says that Daya and ACP Pradyuman are allegedly involved in a crime that happened at the shoot when Dr Salunkhe’s body-double died while ‘tasting’ instead of ‘testing’ a chemical sample. Daya and ACP Pradyuman have been arrested and shall be presented in the court on Thursday.
