A New Excuse To Seek Monetary Help: Imran Khan Requests The UN To Shift Earthquake’s Epicenter To Pakistan

Today, an earthquake of 5.8 magnitude hit Pakistan, India and Afghanistan. The epicentre of the earthquake was the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan. Tremors were felt in several parts of North India but no casualties were reported.

Soon after the news of the earthquake reached other countries, the External Affairs Ministers of the respective countries tweeted messages of support to the public. Although no damages were reported, Imran Khan saw this as an opportunity to receive some funding and bring Pakistan out of a deep economic crisis.

After countries refused to provide monetary support, Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan allegedly wrote to the UN, requesting them to shift the epic centre from Afghanistan to Pakistan.

More details awaited.
